Puerto Rico Convention Center District Authority (CCDA)

The Puerto Rico Convention Center District Authority (“CCDA”) is a public corporation created pursuant to Act No. 351-2000, as amended. CCDA was created to develop, manage and oversee the Puerto Rico Convention Center, the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, and other adjacent hospitality, commercial and residential developments within the Convention Center District (the “District”). The District consists of 113 acres with hotels, restaurants, office space, and entertainment areas.

The Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico entered into the HTA/CCDA Related Plan Support Agreement, dated May 5, 2021, between the Oversight Board, Assured Guaranty Corp. and National Public Finance Guarantee Corporation (the “HTA/CCDA PSA”), which outlines the terms of a potential restructuring of CCDA and a settlement of claims against the Commonwealth related to the retention of funds historically allocated to CCDA.  The Government is a not a party to the HTA/CCDA PSA and has not made a decision whether it will support the restructuring outlined therein.
